Bellaire
The City of Bellaire covers just over 3.5 square miles. It is divided by Loop 610 and consists of mostly single family homes. Noting the proximity to West U and the larger lots, generally 75ft wide by 120ft deep, Bellaire saw increased interest from both developers and homeowners who desired the location of West U but preferred the lower prices for larger lots.
Bellaire is a cherished community of over 16 thousand community members. The City hosts a number of community events, publishes a quarterly newsletter, and even has a Home Watch program to ensure your home is safe when you are on vacation. Some of the community events include National Night Out Party, Spring Fling, Trolley Run, Wine & Tapas night, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Movie Night, and many more.
There are a multitude of family friendly amenities located in the City of Bellaire, including 14 parks, a dog park, the Nature Discovery Center, the Town Square Family Aquatics Center, a library, the Bellaire Recreation Center, and many more. Evelyn’s Park Conservatory, located at 4400 Bellaire Blvd. and Newcastle, is committed to keeping nature, community, and family at the heart of the Bellaire. There is an organization called LIFE, for community members over the age 50, dedicated to keeping the elderly involved in the community.
School zoning for elementary schools is separated by loop 610. Those inside the loop are zoned for Horn Elementary, ranked 10 out of 10 by greatschools.org and 5 out of 5 by the community. Those outside the loop are zoned for either Condit, a Houston ISD school or Lovett, a fine arts magnet. Condit Elementary is ranked 9 out of 10 by greatschools.org. All Bellaire students are zoned for Pershing Middle School and Bellaire High School. Pershing Middle School offers a dynamic range of arts, sports and academics. Bellaire High School offers 10 world languages and numerous clubs for the students to stay involved. Please note that school zoning is subject to change and zoning should be independently verified.
Bellaire offers nearly 100 different places to dine including restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Bernie’s Burger Bus, located outside the loop, adds a fun twist to the American classic burger where your food is cooked in a school bus! Auntie Pasto’s is well-known for its Italian comfort food and locals boast about the Greek food at Roadsters. Inside the loop resides Luigis Pizzeria, which is ranked as best pizza in Bellaire, and we agree!
For your grocery needs Bellaire offers Whole Foods, Randall’s, HEB, as well as smaller grocers. The multitude of shopping centers lends a range of small boutiques to name brand stores, having something for everyone. The Downtown Bellaire shopping scene includes several resale and thrift stores, but the can’t miss shops include Magpies Gifts, Black Dog Records, and Paperback Exchanges.
Bellaire is a thriving community, awaiting you to join!
